Funding is available for researchers, Research Technology Professionals (RTPs) and PhD students who want to access state-of-the-art research equipment featured in the showcase, and its technical expertise.

The ITSS Technology Capabilities Showcase helps unlock opportunities for researchers, Research Technology Professionals (RTPs) and PhD students.
Use cutting-edge research technology that is not available in your own institution to accelerate your research and enable your research ambitions.
Funding is available to cover costs through our dedicated fund.

How do I add my facility to the Capabilities Showcase?
Please complete this form https://forms.office.com/e/2BaTfwJmp9 and the ITSS team will review and add your facility to the Showcase as soon as possible.
Information about my facility has changed, how do I update the details published in the Showcase?
Please complete this form https://forms.office.com/e/2BaTfwJmp9 and select Update to an existing Showcase entry when prompted. You can then tell us what information needs changing.
How do I find facilities in my area of speciality?
You can use the filter function in the Showcase, to search and select relevant tags for the facilities you are looking for. You may find it helpful to filter on region, area of speciality or associated network, for example.
Will the Showcase be regularly updated?
We have an open invite for UK facilities to join the Showcase at any time. If you would like your facility added, please complete this form https://forms.office.com/e/2BaTfwJmp9
What will the Showcase contact details be used for?
Your contact details in the Showcase may be used by prospective ITSS Equipment Sharing Fund applicants from across the UK, for information to support their application e.g. full economic costs of processing samples.

How is this national showcase different to Jisc's equipment.data database?
The ITSS Technology Capabilities Showcase focusses specifically on technician-led equipment sharing; the technical skills and capabilities, rather than the assets themselves.
Its focus is to improve visibility of technical expertise and unlock opportunities to further research through sharing and granting access.
Jisc’s equipment.data is necessary for compliance purposes for UKRI; it lists where equipment is located that has been purchased with various funds, listing details of specific equipment.
