Our Wellcome-funded 3i Lattice LightSheet facility is open at the University of Warwick. Six weeks per year are available for visiting researchers and ongoing collaborations are welcome. The instrument uses a very thin, structured sheet of light to rapidly collect 4D movies of living cells. Due to the thinness of the sheet, photo-bleaching and photo-damage are minimised allowing capture of hundreds of image planes in a second and visualisation of dynamic processes inside cells in unprecedented detail. Our instrument is usually run in dithered mode giving resolution of up to 230 x 230 x 370 nm (x x y x z) with 62.5x magnification and an imaging depth up to 50 μm. The system has 4 laser-lines and two cameras allowing truly simultaneous imaging.
