The Molecular Interactions Shared Resource Laboratory (InteractionsSRL) is capable of investigating macromolecules and their biomolecular binding properties. We have a Biacore T200 for Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) that enables label free detection and a Monolith NT.115 for MicroScale Thermophoresis (MST) that uses fluorescence labelling to investigate biological interactions. These instruments can be used to determine the affinity and binding kinetics of a ligand to its receptor. Examples of the various bond types include protein-protein, protein-DNA, receptor-drug, enzyme-substrate.
