The multipurpose, single zone short height split furnace (SF2149B) is suitable for X-ray and neutron imaging, tomography, or diffraction experiments at national facilities. The furnace has an operating temperature up to 1250°C using two silicon carbide heating elements, and hot zone dimensions of 30mm x 50mm x 30mm. It utilises a Eurotherm EPC3016 temperature control system, with RS232 communications, and k-type thermocouples which can be connected to experimental beamlines or other readout equipment.
