The preclinical MRI facility offers 7T horizontal bore and 9.4T vertical bore Bruker systems available to internal, external, and industry researchers for collaborative studies. We feature a range of gradient sets for high-resolution imaging alongside various radio frequency coils for multi-nuclei applications (e.g., 129Xe). Our systems accommodate a diverse range of samples, including zebrafish, invertebrates, and in vivo rodents—the latter supported by an adjacent, fully equipped surgical theatre and physiology monitoring suite. Our research portfolio includes stroke, cancer, and vascular dementia. Additionally, we are highly experienced in material characterisation, fostering strong collaborations with engineers and material scientists.
