The Mass Spectrometry Service provides analytical support to a wide range of research groups and external customers. We support both post-doctoral and post graduate research, plus final year undergraduate research projects. Two of our instruments (Waters SQD2 and Shimazu Ultra) form the basis of our open access facility. The remaining instruments are staff operated and are dedicated to more targeted research. All of the instruments have associated chromatographic systems (GC or UPLC). There are a range of available ionisation techniques on offer (EI, CI, ESI, APCI, ASAP and MALDI).
