Our Infectious Diseases Facility offers access to Specialist Containment Level 3 (CL3) facilities for the safe use and handling of Hazard Group 3 (HG3) infectious biological agents with enhanced security measures for handling and storing Schedule 5 high-risk infectious pathogens. The facility includes two fully self-contained laboratories, each equipped with Class I and II microbiological safety cabinets for containment, and autoclaves for waste inactivation before removal. The facility houses a range of equipment for sample processing and cell culture, including cryostat, CO2 incubators, centrifuges, microscopes, and secure monitored hazard group 3 sample storage.
