The Electron Microscopy Core Facility provides both state-of-the-art instrumentation and experienced staff to assist researchers and students to obtain high-resolution electron microscopy data.
The facility houses 120kV Talos L120C TEM, 200kV Glacios cryoTEM, Apreo 2S FEGSEM with Volumescope and array tomography module, high-pressure freezer, cryo plunger, ultramicrotomes, coating units, critical point dryer and wetlab. Staff are experienced in techniques including negative staining, single particle analysis, ultramicrotomy, immunogold labelling and SEM sample preparation and offer sample prep and advice for Correlative Light and Electron Microscopy (CLEM) and 3D-EM. We are happy to discuss either a brief service or longer collaborative arrangements. Regular users are offered training.
