The EPSRC National Epitaxy Facility has been providing the UK semiconductor community with bespoke epitaxial wafers since 1979. Currently we support over £150M worth of UKRI grants at over 25 UK Universities and collaborate with industries and spinouts. We are home to 11 state-of-the-art Molecular Beam and Metal-Organic Vapour-Phase Epitaxy reactors across 3 Universities: 6 at Sheffield, 3 at UCL, and 2 at Cambridge; and a wide range of characterization equipment (SEM, AFM, XRD, eCV, Hall, PL and µPL at room and low temperature) used to qualify grown structures. Recent addition to our service provision is a Micro-Transfer Printing capability.
