The facility is a grouping of instruments and techniques broadly for materials characterisation for a range of sample types including powders and thin films and for bulk and surface analysis. The techniques available include XPS (X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy), microCT, XRD and 3D-ED (X-ray and electron diffraction) for powders, thing films and single crystal, ICP-OES, thermal analysis (TGA and DSC) and Raman spectroscopy. These are run as shared facilities and are open to researchers outside of the University of Glasgow, both academic and commercial, and we welcome enquiries.
