The CCI-EM facility specialises in the imaging and analysis of heterogeneous catalysts and materials. It comprises a TFS Spectra 200 kV Aberration Corrected Scanning Transmission Electron Microscope (S-CORR probe-corrected C-FEG AC-STEM) with Super-X EDS, Gatan energy filter (EELS), Panther STEM (BF/ADF/HAADF/MAADF/DF/iDPC) and DENS gas, liquid and biasing holders. Also, a Tescan MAIA FEG-SEM-EDX and JEOL 2100 JEM TEM. This is supported by a preparation lab with sputter coater, ion mill, plasma cleaner and mechanical polishing tools. Staff are happy to discuss analytical service requirements or longer-term collaborations with training offered to regular users if needed.
